How to order

In Person: Visit our showroom for a full selection of vintage apparel and gifts for the City of Champions. Detroit Athletic Co. is located at 1744 Michigan Avenue, just west of historic Tiger Stadium in Detroit, Michigan. Store hours are 10AM - 5PM, EST, Monday through Saturday, with extended hours (including Sundays) for Detroit Tigers Home games. We are open year 'round. 

By Phone: Call us at (877) 604-4490 to place an order over the phone. Visa/MasterCard/Discover/American Express are accepted.

By Internet: This web site is a fully functional merchant site. It will provide you with secure online ordering, 24 hours a day. Visa/MasterCard/Discover and PayPal are accepted.

 

Shipping 

Detroit Athletic Co. prides itself on prompt, reliable shipping. Most orders placed before 4:30pm EST ship the same day. Orders that require customization usually ship the same day or the next business day.

For domestic orders, we offer United States Postal Service Express Mail and Priority Mail shipping options, as well as UPS Ground, 3-Day Select, 2nd Day Air, Next Day Air Saver and Next Day Air. Our standard shipping option for orders that qualify for free shipping is USPS Priority Mail unless there is a weight and/or size restriction that will make UPS a better option for our customers.

For International orders, we offer United States Postal Service Express Mail International, Priority Mail International and First-Class Mail International. Please note that international orders tend to take longer to deliver due to customs procedures and coordination between multiple post offices. Also, International First-Class Mail has been known to take upward of 3 to 4 weeks for delivery, so we do not recommend it for orders that need to be received in a timely manner.

Customers should also be aware that UPS does not deliver on Saturdays or Sundays. Accordingly, Next Day Air and 2nd Day Air does not always mean that a parcel will be delivered in one or two days. For example, an order that ships on a Friday using Next Day Air will not arrive until the next Monday. Attention Canadian Customers:

“Canada Customs requires Canadian recipients to pay applicable duties and taxes on each shipment entering Canada. These charges may include PST, GST, HST, duties and other taxes of goods (e.g. excise tax). A brokerage fee is also charged to process shipments and present the requisite customs paperwork to Canada Customs on the importer’s behalf. 

Your order will be shipped under UPS’s e-Tailer Brokerage Program (eBP), where eligible shipments imported into Canada for non-commercial purposes and valued under CAD$ 200 shipped via UPS Standard service are subject to a reduced brokerage fee of CAD$ 10, plus any applicable duties and taxes. Shipments valued at CAD$200 and above and/or being imported to Canada for commercial purposes and/or subject to specialized clearance may incur additional fees.

Please, be aware that UPS will request payment of these charges at the time of delivery. You have the ability to call UPS ahead of time (1-800-742-5877) to pay these charges, eliminating the need for payment on delivery.”

 

Returns & Exchanges

If you experience any problem with your order, please contact us immediately so that we may correct it. We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. 

Please note that we cannot accept damaged, washed, or used (worn) merchandise. Returns for refunds must include a receipt. All returns and exchanges must be made within 30 days of purchase. Jerseys with names and numbers, collectibles and autographed items are non-returnable. This includes jerseys with the names and numbers of current and past players.

If you would like to return an item or make an exchange, please call (877) 604-4490 to get an RMA number to be included with your item and the return address to which the item should be sent. All returns and exchanges must meet the following criteria:

  • All returns and exchanges must be accompanied with a receipt and be made within 30 days of the date of purchase.
  • All sales are final on any Sale item.
  • Detroit Athletic Co. will not accept returns or exchanges if:
    • The item has obviously been worn.
    • Smells of Cologne, perfume, smoke, or any other odors
    • Visible stains, marks, burns, snags, or any other blemishes
    • Alterations or modifications of any kind
    • Price tags that are removed, altered or damaged
    • Other tags that are removed, altered or damaged
    • A jersey/T-shirt was ordered with a player name and number on it

No shipping costs will be refunded for returns or exchanges. Additionally, if you are exchanging your item, you will be charged for shipping the replacement item. If a returned order received free outbound shipping and the returned amount makes the order total fall below the dollar amount that originally made it eligible for free shipping, a shipping fee will be assessed when the item(s) is returned.
